‘Americans for Israel’ rally near the Villages/Ocala

Representatives of regional houses of worship, concerned citizens, and organizations have joined forces to hold a Stand with Israel event scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Markets of Marion on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Belleview (between The Villages and Ocala).

“This event will demonstrate broad public support by Americans for our best ally in the Middle East, Israel. Furthermore, it is in best interest of the United States to stand with our ally,” explained Pam Dahl and Tony LaRocco, event leaders.

Ask why this event was being planned now, Dahl said, “Israel is under attack by a number of forces around the world. Most notable are the Islamic countries surrounding Israel who have vowed to annihilate Israel.  We need to counteract these threats with a positive show of our support.”

The planning for this event included scheduling notable speakers from throughout Florida, a live Web feed from Israel, professional entertainment such as Mary Jo Vitale, Chris Bolus and Fran Crispi. There will be food and beverages, parking, and site security during the event.  Event planners anticipate several thousand will join in showing their support for Israel.
