A native of Brooklyn, New York, she was born on Dec. 25, 1942, to the late Samuel A. and Sylvia Feld Millend. A homemaker, Joyce was the wife of Melvin G. A native of Bronx, New York, he was born on April 6, 1938, one of three children born to the late Max and Sylvia Kinigstein Lipeles. Jay attended school in New York and earned his master’s degree in aeronautics from Yale University. He relocated to Central Florida in the early 1960s and worked as an engineer at Martin Marietta.
