Mr. Katz was born April 10, 1941, in Bronx, New York to the late Martin and Helen Katz. A retired school psychologist from New York, he and his wife moved to the Orlando area after 17 years in West Palm Beach, Florida. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Julius and Rose (Kaplowitz) Wilpon.
