Betty Loomas (born Elizabeth A. Schick) passed away at the age of 90 on Feb. 1, 2018, at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Florida of complications from pneumonia after an extended illness. Betty graduated with a 5-year college degree from Villa Nova College in 1945; and, was married 1 year later. Robert “Bob” Cohen, age 86, of Lake Mary, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2018, at Oakmonte Village. He was born Dec. 25, 1931, in Philadelphia, and was the only child of the late Simon and Dora Garlikov Cohen. Bob grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and graduated from Fairview High School in 1950. After his graduation from Ohio State University, he served in the U.S. Army where he ran a M*A*S*H unit in Korea. Charlotte F. Nathan, age 99, of Winter Park, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at her residence in Westminster Towers—Winter Park. Mrs. Nathan was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Aug. 17, 1918, the second daughter of four children born to the late Frank and Pauline Lipscher Friedman.
