The Roth Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando’s 39ers seniors group looks forward to announcing their new slate of officers for the coming 2013-2014 year at a celebratory installation party on May 20.
The installation party will feature Carol Stein, The Piano Lady. Carol is well known in the community for her superb musicality and generous nature, and especially at the JCC, where she has performed many times says an event planner. Carol has offered to perform for the group to show her appreciation for her mother, Betty, who is a regular at the JCC, playing Mah Jongg and socializing with friends.
“Most years we plan a lovely luncheon catered at an outside venue,” said 39ers leader, Claire Mercer. “This year we want to make it a party atmosphere and convenient for more people at a more reasonable cost. With Carol Stein at the keyboard, it is sure to be a fantastic afternoon spent together.”
The cost is $10 for JCC members and $15 for guests, and the proceeds will be donated to the JCC’s Marvin Friedman Scholarship Fund.
Lunch will be included, along with an assortment of baked goods provided by Bagel King of Casselberry.
