Dr. Charles H. Silver of Longwood, Fla., died on Friday, May 17, 2013. He was 68 years old.
A New York native, he was born on July 26, 1944, to the late Max and Ruth Schweitzer Silver. Dr. Silver was a school psychologist working for many years with the BOCES program in New York—a program developed in 1948 to provide shared educational programs and services to school districts throughout the state. In 2007, Dr. Silver and his wife, Sherry, who passed away in 2008, after more than 43 years of marriage, moved to the Orlando area from Dix Hills, N.Y., to be closer to their children and families.
Dr. Silver is survived by his son, Mitchell (Teresa) Silver of Longwood; his daughter, Pamela (Damon) Boodram of Longwood; and two granddaughters. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey (Jayne) Silver of Albany, N.Y.
Graveside services were held at New Montefiore Cemetery in New York. Services were entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, Orlando.
