Mr. Misek was born in Cincinnati on Sept 30, 1957, to Bernard and Myra Flaum Misek. He was an Eagle Scout and received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY-Albany. On Aug. 19, 1994, in Charleston, S.C., he married the former Terri Shayne. Mr. Misek was a salesman and specialized in housewares. He and his family lived in Longwood and are members of Congregation of Reform Judaism.
Mr. Misek is survived by his wife; his parents, of Raleigh, N.C.; his daughters, Samantha of Lakeland and Sari of Longwood; his son, Joshua Krafchick of Jacksonville. He is also survived by his brother, Steven of North Carolina; his sisters Lynn (Kevin) Smith of Pennsylvania and Sheryl (David) Reynolds of Maryland; his mother-in-law, Sheila Shayne of The Villages; and brothers-in-law, Joel (Ruth) Shayne of Michigan and Glenn Shayne of Merritt Island.
A memorial service was held at Congregation of Reform Judaism with Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer officiating.
