Obituary - REBECCA WOLF GAESER

Rebecca Gaeser of Altamonte Springs, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. She was 98 years old.

Mrs. Gaeser was born in Johnston, S.C. on April 7, 1915 to the late Sam and Mary Wolf. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 50 years, Harold Gaeser, and her brother and two sisters. Rebecca and Harold were longtime residents of Williston, S.C., where they raised their family and owned Harold’s Dept. Store. In 1989, she moved to the Orlando area.

Mrs. Gaeser was a member of the Williston Garden Club, The Eastern Star, numerous bridge clubs, Hadassah, Adath Yeshurun Synagogue in Aiken and Congregation Ohev Shalom in Orlando.

Survivors include her sons, Philip (Patti) Gaeser of Richmond, Va. and Jeffrey (Marci) Gaeser of Chuluota; daughters, Elaine (Robert) Gamson of Longwood and Lana Barth (George Rothman) of Bethesda, Md.; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A special thanks to the wonderful caregivers and staff of Horizon Bay Lake Orienta and VITAS Hospice and finally, special recognition to Mimose Antoine, a special friend to our mother. Graveside services were held at Sons of Israel Cemetery in Aiken, S.C. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Jewish Pavilion, P.O. Box 160056, Altamonte Springs, FL 32716 or the charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee. Rd., Orlando 32810.
