Seymour Corwin of Orlando, passed away on Monday, Oct.14, 2013, at Spring Hill at Hunter’s Creek. He was 94 years old. Mr. Corwin, one of three children, was born on June 22, 1919, in New York City, to the late Nathan and Rose Chordock Cohen. He graduated college with a degree in accounting and served in the United States Army during World War II aboard Troop Transports in Europe and the Middle East. Following his military service he began his working career as a contract specialist for the Department of Defense. He and his late wife, Evelyn, who passed away in 2001, spent vacations in the Orlando area before relocating here permanently in 1985 from Wheaton, Md. Mr. Corwin was formerly a long time member of Congregation Shalom of Williamsburg. He is survived by his son, Jeff Corwin; daughter, Robin Petro; and his brother and sister, Arthur Cohen and Gene Kern.
Graveside funeral services, with military honors were held at Bet Chaim Cemetery with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating.
