SOJC's 'Esthertainment'

This Purim, the Southwest Orlando Jewish Congregation (SOJC), will be presenting an original Purim Spiel written for 2014, titled "That's Esthertainment!" This laugh-filled musical parody of the story of Esther is guaranteed to tickle your funny bone and get your feet tapping to the lively music.  Writer and director Jules Gelade has been writing biblical musical parodies for more than 20 years.  He started writing Purim Spiels and then moved on to four full-length musical parodies that received both local and national attention. Gelade is now bringing his unique sense of humor to SOJC.

"That's Esthertainment!" looks at the Purim story from a different angle with a twist. It is a lively production filled with singing, dancing, and comedy.  It's a perfect play for the whole family and will be presented on Sunday, March 9, at 1:30 p.m. at SOJC, 11200 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando. Admission is $5 per person.
