Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice

Help make Super Sunday a slam dunk for the community

Super Sunday is the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando’s annual phone-a-thon. On this one Sunday of the year, the Jewish community comes together to raise funds, ensuring Jews here in Orlando, in Israel and around the globe receive quality programming, have a variety of resources to enrich their lives, and get help when it is desperately needed.

This year, more than ever, the Federation needs your help. There are hundreds of individuals who need to be reached. For many of the individuals we do reach, the phone call by the volunteer is their only connection to the Jewish community and the only time they are ever asked to help. In order to reach these individuals, volunteers are needed.  Super Sunday 2014 will be held on March 2. The theme of the event is March Madness.

There are three volunteer shifts: 9 a.m.-noon, noon-3 p.m. and 3 p.m.-6 p.m. There are phoning and nonphoning jobs available. Come dressed in your favorite team jersey.

If you are able to volunteer this year, please call Becca Ginns at the Federation office (407-645-5933 x228) or email bginns@jfgo.org.
