Obituary - LILLIAN ELIZABETH BURNSTINE

Lillian (Lil) Burnstine passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Florida Hospital, Ormond Beach. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Burnstine, prior to her move to Florida 10 years ago, was a lifelong resident of Richmond, Va. She was one of four children born to the late Gussie and Sam Hoffman.

Mrs. Burnstine was a tireless volunteer, for more than 25 years at Jewish Family Services in Richmond. She was loving, charming, and best friends with all who knew her. No one was a stranger to her. She enjoyed life every day, and brought joy to every one.

Predeceasing her were sisters Ada Pfeffer and Nora Bernstein, as well as one brother, Leon Hoffman, all of Richmond, Va. Also preceding her was one son, Michael Burnstine, and one grandson, David Burnstine.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jerry Burnstine; daughter, Devie Louza (Dan Patterson) of Ormond Beach; sons, Allan Burnstine (Karen) of Lake Mary, Norman Burnstine (Joan) of Longwood, and Robert Burnstine, of Orlando; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
