JFS Orlando is almost at their pantry re-stock goal

The Pantry re-stock challenge is in full swing at Jewish Family Services Orlando, and anyone can participate. The goal is for 5,000 pounds of food and $20,000, and they have already collected 4,893 pounds of food and $16,398.

The Pantry Re-stock Challenge is sponsored by the Weiner Family and The Weiner Winter Park Wealth Group, who will donate 25 cents for every pound of food brought in and every dollar raised.

“The Weiner family has always been out front and center in doing their part to help the community and are a great example of Tikkun Olam in action. We couldn’t be more thankful for their leadershi in our Pantry Re-Stock Challenge,” said JFS Executive Director Eric Geboff.

There are many ways to contribute. Companies can start a food drive at their place of business or organization. This can be a physical collection or a virtual food drive. Individuals can donate by sending donations to JFS Orlando, 2100 Lee Road, Winter Park, FL 32789 or donate online. A $1 donation buys $6 worth of food.

To set up a business or organization’ Food Drive call Michael Cooper at 407-644-7593 ext. 241.
