2014 PGS - Pavilion Golf Society Tournament

Dual residency in London and "Heathrow" led to the formation of the Pavilion Golf Society (PGS) here in Orlando. Co-chairs Lloyd Green, and Ken Davis share a passion for golf, friendship and older adults. Their second annual PGS - Pavilion Golf Society Tournament will take place on Sunday, June 1 at Alaqua Country Club. The PGS tournament follows in the footsteps of a successful golf tournament in London that raises mega bucks for Jewish seniors.

The event begins with breakfast from Bagel King at 7:30 a.m. The shotgun start is 8:30 a.m. At that time, players will line up in their golf carts for a full day of fun. Participation in the tournament is $150 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and lots of prizes.

Davis is proud to announce some of the sponsors for this year's event include Fifth Third Bank, IOA-Insurance of America, Tower Realty Partners Inc., Bob Yarmuth and family, Ed Kleiman and family, Hank Katzen and family, Ben Weiner and family and Vitas Innovative Hospice.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the funding of the Orlando Senior Help Desk of the Jewish Pavilion. The website http://www.orlandoseniorhelpdesk.org contains a wealth of information pertinent to seniors and their family members with regards to everything from housing to medical and financial needs. This free information and referral service is available to everyone in the entire community. It is run by an experienced social worker, Emily Newman, who assists older adults and their families with the challenges of aging. She offers guidance to help people make informed choices about issues such as home health, hospice care and advanced/crisis planning. Normally, family members call in the midst of a crisis and a level-headed and kind–hearted free social worker, is just what the doctor ordered.

Hole sponsorships are $1000 and include a golf foursome, signage and meals. Journal ads are available beginning at $250. For more information visit http://www.jewishpavilion.org or contact Ken Davis at (727) 798-5354 khdavis13@yahoo.com.
