Marilyn H. Oppenheim, age 85, of Winter Park, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014, at Manor Care Nursing and Rehab Center in Winter Park. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Oppenheim was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 1, 1929, to the late Samuel and Bertha Gold Hershkowitz. She was an educator and taught in the New York Public Schools. In 1986, she relocated to the Orlando area from Long Island.
Mrs. Oppenheim was a nationally recognized craftsperson who created porcelain dipped flowers and miniature dollhouses among other items. She is survived by her son, Barry Oppenheim of Orlando; daughter, Jill (John) Schnellbach of Melbourne; three grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
