Piano virtuoso performance—At the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center, see 12-year-old Jewish Mexican pianist Daniela Liebman. 8 p.m. Info or tickets, Blanquita Trabold at 407-420-6896. This event benefits Mexican families in Central Florida in need of educational and medical aid.

Saturday Night Out—Experience an Aloha Luah at the Roth JCC from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Kids 18 months to 10 years can come hang out with friends. Kindergarten-5th grade will be swimming, so please drop them off in their swimsuits with a change of clothes. Pizza dinner and movie. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

Film, “Booker’s Place: A Mississippi Story”—Part of the Civil Rights programs sponsored by HMREC, this film will be shown at the Enzian Theater with panel discussion after viewing. Showtime: noon.

Temple Israel PJ Library program—Shalom Families/PJ Library and Temple Israel celebrate Rosh Hashanah from 10 a.m.-noon at the synagogue. Shofar blowing, storytime for six-months to 5 and ½ years. No charge to attend. Older siblings are also welcome to attend.

Exhibits: Hateful Things—The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center exhibits THEM/Hateful Things from the Jim Crown Museum of Racist Memoriabilia. A sampling of racist objects and images that remind us of the power of the propaganda of everyday objects. Exhibit runs through Dec. 15. The Center is open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m .; Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p. There is no admission charge.

Learn Hebrew—Enroll in summer classes and learn to read Hebrew offered by Chabad Lubavitch of North Orlando, 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at 39 Skyline Dr., Suite 1017 in Lake Mary. This is a 10-week course, taught by Akiva Anderson. Cost $36, which covers all textbooks. The course is targeted for beginners and those who wish to brush up on their reading.
