Harry and Harriette Moore: Life and Death in the Time of Segregation—As part of the Civil Rights programs sponsored by the Holocaust Center, filmmakers Lisa Mills and Robert Thompson and Bill Gary, director of the Moore Center will host this film and discuss it. The Moores were among the most visible and credible members of the Central Florida Civil Rights community. 4 p.m. at the The Holocaust Center.

Exhibits: Hateful Things—The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center exhibits THEM/Hateful Things from the Jim Crown Museum of Racist Memoriabilia. A sampling of racist objects and images that remind us of the power of the propaganda of everyday objects. Exhibit runs through Dec. 15. The Center is open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p. There is no admission charge.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1

An Evening with Sassy Reuven—Hosted by Chabad of South Orlando, this elite IDF Commando took part in the Entebbe rescue of 102 hostages. He will share his account of how Israel pulled off the greatest hostage rescue in history. 7 p.m. at the Chabad Center, 7504 Universal Blvd., Orlando. Cost: suggested donation of $15 per person.
