Clermont Chanukah party open to the community

The Jewish Friends Club of Kings Ridge is hosting a Clermont Chanukah Party that will be open to the entire community on Tuesday evening, Dec. 16-the first night of Chanukah. There will be a special Chanukah Candle Lighting Ceremony performed by Cantor Isaac Kriger and Rabbi Howard Schwartz of Temple L'Chayim in Clermont. This celebration event is a terrific opportunity for the community to join together and to learn about Jewish tradition, history, culture and heritage.

Cantor Isaac Kriger, with Elizabeth Brahm-Kriger, singer accompanist, will present "The Story Of Chanukah" with a melody of traditional Chanukah music. This show will include cabaret singers and comedy.

The Cabaret Comique Show will feature Larry Larkin, famous British comedian and seasoned headliner. Larkin has been featured internationally on British TV as well as on cruise ships, in comedy clubs and theatres from Great Britain to the U.S. He has opened shows for Lanie Kazan, Al Martino and most recently for Charo on their tours throughout Florida. Larkin is a very tasteful and truly zany comedian who is known to capture hearts and leave the audience bursting with laughter.

An array of delicious Chanukah potato latkes with sour cream and applesauce, fruit, salads, drinks, refreshments and traditional holiday treats will be catered by Too Jays Deli of Ocoee.

The Clermont Chanukah Party is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. This open community-sponsored event will be held at the King's Ridge Club House at 1900 Kings Ridge Boulevard in Clermont. Tickets may be reserved for only $18 per person by calling Nathan Axel at 352-242-6135 before Dec. 12.
