Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
Join Rabbi Cowin as he leads Celebration Jewish Congregation (CJC) in its observance of Chanukah—the Festival of Lights.
On Tuesday, Dec. 16, CJC will welcome the beginning of Chanukah with the lighting of the community menorah located in Market Street Park, near the fountain. For those new to Celebration, it’s at the intersection of Celebration Avenue and Market Street, directly across from Celebration’s original City Hall and the Post Office.
The service will start promptly at 5:15 p.m. Traditional Chanukah prayers will be chanted and lots of great Chanukah songs will be sung to remind everyone of the miracle of the Chanukah season.
All those attending the service will be treated to delicious pizza and a beverage from the Upper Crust Pizzeria on Market Street. In addition, all children will receive a traditional Chanukah gift box filled with dreidels, chocolate coins, and other treats.
Please RSVP to Mark Greenstein, secretary/treasure of Celebration Jewish Congregation, at gmark10@msn.com, the number of adults and children who will attend.
