Tickets are now available and plans are well underway for The Kinneret Council on Aging's 8 over 80 Honorary Dinner that will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015. This year's honorees are: Avie Abramowitz, Helen Hosid, Morris Rashy, Ron Shader, Sandy Silbert, Mark Silverberg, Betty Stein and Harvey Titen.
The event will start at 5 p.m. in the Jessie Render Social Hall where hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served. At 5:45 p.m. guests will move into the Delaney Dining Room where a traditional kosher meal of brisket and chicken will be served. The highlight of the evening will be the introduction of the honorees and viewing of the commemorative video of our 8 over 80 honorees. The video is being produced by David Basher of A Magic Moment.
There are several ways for the community to support KCOA and celebrate this year's 8 over 80 honorees. For information on tickets, please contact Leslie Collin at 407-425-4537 or by email at lcollin@bellsouth.net. Seating will be limited. In addition, congratulatory ads and messages can be placed in the 8 over 80 Tribute Ad book. Ads must be received by Feb. 16, 2015.
New this year is Kinneret Council on Aging's Giving Auction. A Giving Auction is much like a traditional Silent Auction, except instead of donating funds to receive an auction gift; you will be making a contribution to fund Kinneret Council on Aging's year-round resident programming. This includes our Holiday and Shabbat Programming; Health Expo; Spring Fun Day; and our Healthy You: Mind.Body.Spirit.
For information on the Tribute Book and to make a donation to our Giving Auction, please check our website at http://www.kinneretapartments.com.
The Kinneret Apartments are the Jewish community's twin residence towers for low-income senior citizens located in downtown Orlando. For more information, contact Leslie Collin, executive administrator at 407-425-4537.
