JFS Orlando hires new development director

Mary Lee Walker has been hired as JFS’ development director.

Walker brings her years of fundraising experience to the JFS team and is a certified fund raising executive. She is active in the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Central Florida Chapter, and has prior fundraising experience with several other local nonprofits, including Junior Achievement of Central Florida, Christian Service Center of Central Florida, Lighthouse Central Florida, and Heart of Florida United Way.

“Mary Lee is a great asset to the JFS Orlando family,” said Eric Geboff, JFS Orlando executive director. “Her dedication to fundraising and marketing strategies will help continue JFS’ mission of helping those in need throughout the Central Florida community.”

The North Carolina native is not only active in the local fundraising community, but has a passion for volunteering as well. She has served as a former PTA president, the South Orlando Rowing Association Board, Lake Mary Jess Advisory Board, and as a webmaster for Boy Scout Troop 24.

Walker holds a Master of Science in Communications from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.
