Keisha Delva has joined the JFS Orlando family as a licensed mental health counselor.
Delva received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Florida State University, and a master's degree in mental health counseling from the University of Central Florida. She also has a graduate certificate in marriage and family therapy. Delva's clinical experience includes providing therapy in a variety of settings including inpatient treatment, outpatient, residential, in-home and in-school services.
She specializes in helping young adults and women adjust and cope with concerns including career choices, gender identity, social issues, and life transitions. Delva believes in creating a warm, supportive space to facilitate a strong and genuine therapeutic relationship.
Delva is of Haitian descent and is a certified interpreter in Haitian Creole. She is available to conduct sessions in English or Haitian Creole.
"Keisha is a tremendous addition to the JFS Orlando team," said Eric Geboff, JFS Orlando executive director. "Her compassion coupled with her ability to conduct therapy sessions in different languages is a great asset to our counseling program. We are lucky to have her."
