Max Wolf Landsman peacefully passed away on July 12, 2015 at Weinberg Village in Tampa, Florida. He was 96 years old and was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 31, 1918. Mr. Landsman was a proud World War II Veteran. He moved his family to Monsey, N.Y., in 1958 and retired from the New York City Transit Authority in 1975.
He was predeceased by his wife Ida Feider Landsman; and his children, Sandra Berger, Allan Landsman, Phyllis May, Francine Landsman; and his granddaughter, Susan Berger. He is survived by his daughters, Gloria Levine (Dr. Lester Levine) Longwood, Fla., and Lenore Price, Harrisonburg, Va.; seven grandchildren, Lisa Levin (Eric Levin), David Itkin, Lauren Levine Sherman (Craig Sherman), Kimberly Valdez (Robert Valdez), Renee May, Darcie Levine, Joshua Levine (Jessica Levine); and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at Frank Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Brick Church Road in Spring Valley, N.Y. on July 15, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bais Menachem Chabad, Inc., C/O Rabbi Levi Rivkin, 1319 West North B Street, Tampa, FL 33606.
