William Bowers, age 61, of Kissimmee, passed away at his residence on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015. A Brooklyn native, he was a graduate of Brooklyn College and was a chemist and plant manager. He and his wife, Eileen, who survives him, moved several times during his career, settling in the Orlando area in 2005 from Connecticut. A man of many talents and interests, he was a loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather.
In addition to Eileen, Mr. Bowers is survived by his mother, Doris of Pembroke Pines; son Jarrett (Robyn) of Baldwin Park; and daughter, Lindsay (Patrick) Butler of Metairie LA. He is also survived by his brother Barry of Cooper City and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Ohev Shalom Pavilion with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. Interment followed in the cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundaiton, 21301 Powerline Road #301, Boca Raton 33433, florida@ccfa.org.
