JFS Orlando Executive Director Eric Geboff, in conjunction with partner program Sharsheret, is pleased to present Healing with Ayurveda, an interactive session led by Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant Polly Keller.
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems developed in India thousands of years ago.
The event will be held at the JFS Orlando offices, located at 2100 Lee Road, Winter Park, on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 6-8 p.m. The session will explore practical holistic methods that guide your body and mind to reduce stress while supporting longevity and wellness. Keller, who is also a registered yoga teacher, cardiovascular invasive specialist, and registered respiratory therapist, will offer five tips to implement stress reducing tools using the time tested methods of Ayurveda and Yoga.
“In a 24/7 world, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by stress—the goal of Healing with Ayurveda is to help others learn to reduce stress for maximum physical and mental health,” said Geboff, “This event is a continuation of JFS Orlando’s goal to reach out to the community and offer information about ways to incorporate different types of therapy in the lives of those facing breast and/or ovarian cancer.”
The event is free of charge, but space is limited; RSVP required. To register, please contact JFS Orlando’s Development Coordinator Amanda Benedit at amanda.benedit@jfsorlando.org or 407.644.7593, ext.227. No prior experience with Ayurveda is needed. Comfortable clothes and a towel are required.
