Obituary - BETTY SHERMAN

Betty Sherman, age 87, of Oviedo, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Encore of Avalon Park, Orlando. She was born on Aug. 10, 1928, in Glasgow, Scotland, to the late Manuel and Mary Matafsky Goldinger. She was the widow of the late Izzy Sherman who passed away in October 2007, after 58 years of marriage.

Mrs. Sherman worked for many years as an administrative assistant for the American Technion Society in Detroit, Mich., providing support for the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 2003, Betty and Izzy relocated to the Orlando area to be closer to their daughter and family.

Mrs. Sherman is survived by her son Jeff (Carol) Sherman of Pennsylvania; her daughter Rosalynn Redinger of Oviedo; her grandchildren, Scott (Karen) of Penn., Todd (Chelsea) of N.J., Lauren of Penn. and Adrian (Lana) of Florida; and four great-grandchildren. Her sister, Ruth, also survives. She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Goldinger.

A graveside service was held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. The family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City 73123-1718. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee Road, Orlando 32810.
