Obituary - GLENN THOMAS VANDEWATER

Glenn T. Vandewater, age 65, of Lake Mary, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs. Born in Queens, New York, on Feb. 21, 1950, he was a son of the late Daniel T. and Helen Lambert Vandewater. He was a graduate of Bernard Baruch College in New York and received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Vandewater was a Navy veteran serving in the Judge Advocates General’s Corp retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. In civilian life, Mr. Vandewater was a Family Law attorney in Lake Mary.

He is survived by his wife Roberta M. Vandewater of Lake Mary; his son, Michael of Orlando; his daughter, Melissa (David) Comras of Ft. Lauderdale; his step-children, Nicole Schadle and Chris Schadle both of Orlando; and his grandson Benjamin. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Vandewater of New York, Patti Vandewater of Homestead, Fla., and Irene Vandewater of Homestead. He was predeceased by his brother Danny Vandewater.

A funeral service was held at Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. He was interred at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, with full military honors, at a service conducted by Rabbi David Spey of Temple Bat Yam of Fort Lauderdale.
