Kinneret residents enjoy Tu B'Shevat seder

Kinneret Council on Aging welcomed Susan Bernstein of Temple Israel to lead a Tu B' Shevat seder on Thursday, Jan. 21, in the dining room at Kinneret Apartments. Allita Dunn (shown in photo) and 20 other residents participated in the seder that featured fruits and grains and red and white grape juice for wine. "This was the first time our residents experienced a Tu B'Shevat seder," said Leslie Collin, executive administrator of the Kinneret Council on Aging. "We hope to make it an annual event and appreciate the support of Temple Israel and the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando for bringing this type of program to Kinneret!"

This event is part of a monthly program provided by the Kinneret Council on Aging called "Coffee and Conversation" that brings organizations and individuals from the community to Kinneret to provide cultural, topical and holiday programs to the residents of Kinneret Apartments and is sponsored with a grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando.

Any organization or individual interested in providing a program is encouraged to contact Leslie Collin at 425-4537.
