Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
The annual COS youth theater production will be performed Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. and Wednesday, March 9 at 6:45 p.m. at Congregation Ohev Shalom. “The Role Model,” written by Cara Freedman, is a musical about a Jewish high school class that is making a video about a Jewish role model for a cable network show. Throughout the performance the audience will meet Jewish heroes from the past and present including Hannah Senesh, Theodore Herzl, Moses and many more. The main character Ava played by Robyn Kast can’t figure out who her hero is and unfortunately her classmates are not very helpful or kind in helping her find her hero. The moral of the story is one that we can all take away and provides a gentle reminder to each of us how we should look at each other.
In addition to Robyn the cast includes: Jacob Slavkin, Alex Andino, Matthew Troell, Ross Bloom, Marc Homburger, Brandon Mayle, Geoffrey Goldberg, Mason Gold, Parker Offield, Lily Brenner, Hannah Schenkel, Sadie Waldbaum, Jennifer Troell, Ainsley Siegel, Arden Wallman, July Crawford, Livia Smith, Hannah Bloom, Sarah Schenkel, Marni Stein, Sophia Silio, Emma Gotlib, Ava Botwin, Sarah Gross, Dena Kolin, Sarah, Glasser, Jaydin Moskowitz.
There will be a brunch for sale from 12:30 p.m. -2 p.m. prior to the March 6 performance and dinner sold from 5:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m. prior to the March 9 performance. Sponsorships and ads in the playbill still available. Admission prior to the performances (up to the day before) $4, 12th grade and younger and senior adults; $6 adults, at the door/day of; $5, 12th grade and younger and older adults; and $7 adults.
