Irene Lamnin, age 86, of Windermere, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Aug. 3, 1929, she was a daughter of Joseph and Sadie Unger Belman. Mrs. Lamnin was a homemaker, marrying Milton Lamnin in Philadelphia on Dec. 24, 1949. They relocated to the Orlando area in 2010 to be closer to their daughter. Irene and Milton were married for over 66 years when he passed away on Feb. 25, 2016.
Mrs. Lamnin is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Sam) Shafir of Windermere, and Elayne (Arn) Labovitz of Las Vegas; her son, Jeffrey (Sonia) Lamnin of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Lamnin was predeceased by her sister, Helen Shaw and a grandson, Scott Shand.
A funeral service was held at the Pavilion at Ohev Shalom Cemetery with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. In memory of Irene Lamnin, the family requests contributions to the Jewish Pavilion, 421 Montgomery Road, Suite 131, Altamonte Springs 32714.
