Obituary - SIDNEY DEUTSCH

Sidney Deutsch, age 89, passed away on April 19, 2016, in Spring, Texas. He was born on June 11, 1926, in Bronx, New York, to the late Sol and Sadie Deutsch.

Mr. Deutsch was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army as a medic. He and his wife, Rosalie, who survives him, moved to Miami in 1950 and later to Orlando in 1965. He worked for Mead Paper Company at the time of his retirement.

Mr. Deutsch was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Central Orlando, of which he served as president; a member of Central Florida Hotel and Restaurant Association; member of Central Florida Chevra Kadisha; and a member of Central Florida Jewish War Veterans, of which he served as president. He also worked for many years supporting and raising funds for Frontline Outreach.

In addition to his wife of 66 years, Rosalie, Mr. Deutsch is survived by his daughter, Fern Lefkowitz (Ivan) of Orlando; son, Derrick (Jeanne) of California; son Mitchell (Diana) of Houston, Texas; son Benjamin of Hawaii; daughter, Kayla Ezelle (James) of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
