Rawiszer accepts position at ACC

Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer has been elected by her colleagues to the position of vice president of Member Relations and External Partnerships of the American Conference Cantors (ACC), the largest professional cantorial organization in the United States, for the 2016-19 term.

Cantor Rawiszer proudly serves Congregation of Reform Judaism in Orlando, the largest Reform Jewish congregation in the greater Orlando area.

She will be installed at a special ceremony, along with her fellow officers, at the ACC- GTM Philadelphia Convention in June.

"I'm delighted and excited that Cantor Rawiszer has been elected as a vice-president of the conference. Her energy, enthusiasm, and dedication are unmatched. Her talent and vision will contribute greatly to the lives of our members and the communities we serve," stated Cantor Mark Goldman, Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El in Plantation, Fl., and president of the American Conference Of Cantors.

The American Conference of Cantors is the professional organization of over 500 ordained or certified cantors. Responsible for raising the professional standards of synagogue musicians, the ACC offers continuing education programs in conjunction with HUC-JIR Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music and professional development opportunities for its members.

Members of the ACC have special expertise in the music of the Jewish people and serve synagogues and communities in pastoral, worship, programming, and educational roles.

"I know I speak for Rabbi Engel and the entire Board of Directors in saying how proud we are of Cantor Jacki's previous service to ACC and her elevation to this important position," said Susan McKenna, president of CRJ. "We know she will bring the same high level of energy, enthusiasm and excellence to this new role as she does to any endeavor she tackles."
