Obituary - BENNET LEE WASSERMAN

Bennet L. Wasserman, age 59, of Fern Park, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Florida Hospital—Altamonte. Ben was born in Rochester, New York, on March 4, 1957, to Gerald and Judith Weintraub Wasserman.

On Aug. 20, 1978, in Rochester, he married the former Melissa Ellsworth, his wife of nearly 38 years who survives him. In 1979, the family relocated from Rochester to the Orlando area. They were, for a time, members of Congregation Beth Am. Ben also completed his degree at the University of Central Florida. He was a Systems Engineer and Programmer in the Computer industry and for the last few years worked for TopTech Systems in Longwood.

In addition to his wife, Ben is survived by his daughter Rachel (Ryan) Daniels of Houston; and his son Philip (Megan Shand) Wasserman of Boston; and a granddaughter, Clara. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald and Judith Wasserman of Heathrow and his brothers Alan (Donna) Wasserman of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Robert (Cathy) Wasserman of Atlanta.

A funeral service was held at The Pavilion at Ohev Shalom Cemetery, with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. The family requests contributions in memory of Bennet L.
