Learning tzedekah early in life

In May, Pre-K children from Room 11 at The Roth Family JCC of Greater Orlando's Richard S. Adler Early Childhood Learning Center presented nursing students at Florida Hospital with money they raised to buy crayons and coloring books for children in the pediatric ward.

The nursing students are a regular fixture at the JCC, where they visit to get experience with young children. On a recent visit, the nursing students answered questions from the preschoolers about hospitals.

The children of Room 11, taught by teachers Michelle Singer and Viviane Haller, raised money throughout the year as a part of a weekly "tzedekah" lesson. For example at Chanukah, they raised over $100 to purchase toys for Toys for Tots.
