Obituary - JAMES C. STANEK JR.

James Cornel “Jay” Stanek, Jr., age 63, of Clermont, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at Florida Hospital—Orlando. Jay, a native Orlandoan, was born on June 16, 1963, to Beulah Faye McDonald and the late James C. Stanek, Sr. He was the owner of a tax preparation service and was a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

On Feb. 8, 1997, in Orlando, Jay married the former Wanda Faye Holt, his wife of nearly 20 years, who survives him. Jay and Wanda are members of Congregation Ohev Shalom.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James C. Stanek III of Orlando, Ernest A. Stanek of Orlando, Edward A. Stanek of Orlando and Richard W Whitten of Windham, Maine. He was also the grandfather of Skye Stanek, Aaliyah Stanek and Emma Whitten.

A funeral service was held in the Pavilion at Ohev Shalom Cemetery with Rabbi David Kaye officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery.
