TOP to offer community-wide legacy training

The Tampa Orlando Pinellas Jewish Foundation (TOP) will hold a training session on gaining expertise and embracing legacy giving within the culture of your organization and the community as a whole. The session is open to all Jewish organizations in the Orlando area, and will be held on Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, at The Roth Family JCC of Greater Orlando, 851 North Maitland Avenue, Maitland.

This training is part of the curriculum of the Life & Legacy program, a program that represents a shared commitment by area agencies, synagogues, and day schools to work together to secure endowment gifts. TOP is facilitating the Life & Legacy program under the guidance of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Together with partners in Tampa and Pinellas, five Orlando agencies are participating in Life & Legacy: Central Florida Hillel, Congregation Ohev Shalom, the Jewish Academy of Orlando, The Roth Family JCC of Greater Orlando, and Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando.

Registration for this session, focusing on best practices for marketing and stewardship of legacy gifts, on Wednesday, Nov. 2, will begin at 6 p.m., followed by training from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. A light dinner will be served. Dena Kaufman, Grinspoon Foundation national consultant, and TOP staff members will be available for a Q&A session beginning at 5:30 p.m.

TOP is pleased to underwrite the cost of this training session for representatives of any organization who want to attend. RSVP to Susan Goldstein, TOP Life & Legacy program director, at susan@topjewishfoundation.org or 813.769.4769 by Thursday, Oct. 27.
