Obituary - MARJORIE CLAIRE DEUTSCH

Marjorie C. Deutsch, age 96, of Longwood, passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Spring Hills Assisted Living Facility in Lake Mary. Born in New York City, on June 24, 1920, to the late Louis and Evelyn Berger Feldman, she was the widow of the late Nathan Deutsch who passed away in 1959.

She then worked as a rabbinic secretary and editor for a time.

An avid traveler, Marjorie visited many countries around the world. After her last retirement, she attended City College of New York and earned her bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude. For nearly 30 years Marjorie was able to pursue her dream career as a Docent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She relocated to the Orlando area from New York in 2014.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Lenore (Leni) and Tony Puccio; and her grandchildren, David and Erika, and her sister-in-law, Reese Feldman, widow of her brother, Robert Feldman. She is also survived by her pride and joy, her great-granddaughter Paislee.

A graveside funeral service was held at Congregation of Reform Judaism Cemetery, Gotha, with Rabbi Steven W. Engel and Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer officiating. The family requests contributions in memory of Marjorie C. Deutsch to Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.
