Central Florida's Independent Jewish Voice
For the past four years, TOP Jewish Foundation (TOP) has engaged and partnered with Goldman Sachs as its investment adviser of their $40 million portfolio. On Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m., TOP invites both individuals and organizations to a special briefing featuring the team that manages their portfolio. The event will take place at the Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor, & Reed, PA, office, located at 215 N. Eola Drive in Orlando. The agenda will comprise of an economic and market outlook, an inside look into Goldman Sachs’ Institutional Client Solutions, and highlights from TOP’s investment portfolio.
“We have been fortunate to have found a true partner in Goldman Sachs. They are extremely dedicated to constructing a solid investment portfolio that is consistent with our investment objectives and within our risk tolerance. They are truly focused on achieving better than benchmark returns on our investments. At this same time, they consistently deliver the same high level of service that we look to provide our donors and clients”, remarked Bob Kokol, TOP Jewish Foundation’s vice chair Investments. Kokol was part of the team that selected Goldman Sachs and crafted TOP’s unique anti-terror investment policy.
TOP Jewish Foundation’s $40 million portfolio is comprised of investments from individuals and institutional donors. Individuals can invest through donor-advised funds or endowments and organizations invest through managed funds and endowments. All of these investments ultimately benefit both Jewish and non-Jewish nonprofits throughout the country.
“We make giving easier in many ways such as processing donations of stock, life insurance, Israel bonds or real estate. Overall, we help donors manage their philanthropy and potentially make giving go farther,” explained Bonnie Wise, TOP Jewish Foundation’s vice president Investments.
TOP was founded in 1980 to ensure that the Jewish community has a permanent base of support. This community foundation now manages over 700 individual charitable funds, many of which serve as a permanent source of perpetual income to agencies across central Florida. Now celebrating its double chai anniversary, TOP’s mission is unchanged and its organization more visible than in years past.
