Paul Goldberg, age 80, of Longwood, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Florida Hospital—Altamonte. Mr. Goldberg, a native of Brooklyn, New York, was born on Aug. 7, 1936, to the late Harry and Mildred Fishman Goldberg. He was educated in New York and received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from City College of New York. During his working career, Mr. Goldberg was a physicist in electrical engineering.
On March 22, 1958, in Brooklyn, he married the former Gloria Tabachnick, his wife of over 58 years who survives him. They relocated to the Orlando area from Long Island in 1978 and have been longtime members of Congregation of Reform Judaism.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Goldberg is survived by his son, Les (Julie) Goldberg of Orlando; and daughters, Amy Goldberg of Altamonte Springs and Debbie (Shawn) Fogleman of Sanford. He was also the loving grandfather of Sydney, Lindsey, Hunter, Brad, Blake, Lora, Bryan, Jeremy and Connor; and brother of Bernice Strassberg of New York.
Graveside funeral services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery in Gotha, with Rabbi Steven Engel and Cantor Jacqueline Rawiszer officiating. The family requests contributions in memory of Paul B. Goldberg be made to the charity of your choice.
