How many exceptional young Jewish students do you know? Probably quite a few! Here is your chance to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and character of the amazing young people in your life. 

The American Hebrew Academy Honor Society is now accepting applications for 2017. This is a prestigious organization that recognizes exceptional Jewish eighth and ninth graders from around the world who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, community service, and character.

Students accepted to the Honor Society will receive press recognition, a certificate of achievement, a special invitation to tour the American Hebrew Academy, and the opportunity to compete for up to $20,000 in annual scholarships!

The following criteria is used to select Jewish students for induction in the Honor Society. Students must:

• Be current 8th or 9th graders

• Exemplify leadership qualities

• Demonstrate academic achievement by maintaining a minimum B+ (88) average

• Express a deep, personal connection to Judaism

• Exhibit emotional stability and maturity

• Actively participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities

To nominate exceptional students in your life, please fill out and return the Nomination form. The students will also need to submit a Student Questionnaire and their most recent report card or transcript. Both forms can be found on http://www.americanhebrewacademy.org/admissions/aha-honor-society
