Sheila Jones, age 74, of Longwood, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at her residence. She was born on May 25, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Raymond and Lottie Somers Kronick. A high school graduate, Sheila worked as an analyst in law enforcement for many years.
She relocated to the Orlando area in 1975. On March 11, 1981, she and her husband of nearly 36 years who survives her, Victor L. Jones, were married by Rabbi Larry Halpern at the then, Congregation of Liberal Judaism.
In addition to Victor, Sheila is survived by her sons, Brian (Lisa) Nemeroff of Melbourne and Stephen (Susanne) Nemeroff of New Zealand; grandsons, Alexander, Jason and Logan; and her sister, Benna Bines (John Wagner) of Longwood. She is also survived by her step-children, Victor L. Jones, Jr., Diana Faye Beasley and Theresa Geister; and 10 step-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at Ohev Shalom Cemetery, Orlando, with Rabbi Patricia Hickman, of Temple Israel of Brevard officiating. In memory of Sheila K. Jones, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City OK 73123-1718.
