Judith Becker, age 88, of Longwood, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Serenades at Longwood. She was born on March 5, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, and was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lillian Rosenblum Bederson.
A homemaker, she married Stanley Becker, her husband of nearly 48 years who survives her, on March 2, 1969, in Cincinnati. They returned to the Orlando area in 1972 and were active members of Temple Israel.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Jane (David) Auspitz of Philadelphia and Susan (Gordon) Arkin of Maitland; and her son, Andrew Landis of Simi Valley, Calif. She was the grandmother of Debra, Lisa, Kimberley, Nathan, Zachary, Amanda, Amy, Sam and Jordan; and the great-grandmother of Judah, Lilyan, Emma, Emile, and Benjamin. She is also survived by her sister, Myrna (Stanley) Frank of Hollywood, Fla.
A graveside service was held at Temple Israel Cemetery, Gotha, with Rabbi Arnold Siegel of Jewish Family Services officiating. In memory of Judith S. Becker, the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 378 Center Pointe Circle, Altamonte Springs 32701.
