Obituary - CALVIN FISHER

Calvin Fisher, age 82, of Casselberry, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 13, 1934, to the late Nathan and Ida Lisker Fischer. A high school graduate, he married the former Janice Wolfson, his wife of over 62 years, who survives him. He was the owner/operator of a carpet cleaning business.

The family relocated to the Orlando area from Brooklyn in 1974. They were former members of Congregation Beth Am. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Martin (Molly) Fisher of Issaquah, Wash.; and his daughter, Gale (Paul) Barr of Deltona. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Fisher, Andrea (Alan) Layton, Jennifer (Steve) Yachbes, Stacee (David) Stock, and Matthew (Michele) Fisher and great-grandchildren Brianna, Makayla, Caden, Alyssa, William, Dara, Nathan, Hadley, Mason and Talia. Mr. Fisher was also predeceased by his son, Marshall.

A graveside service was held at All Faiths Memorial Chapel, Casselberry, with Rabbi Rick Sherwin officiating. In memory of Calvin Fisher, the family requests contributions to Hospice of the Comforter, 605 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs 32714. Arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee Road, Orlando.
