Lily S. Reuben, age 81, of Longwood, passed away at her residence on Monday, April 3, 2017. Lily was born in Mumbai, India, on January 25, 1936, to the late Joseph and Shoshana Rahamim Isaac. She was an honors graduate of the University of Mumbai with her major field of study being arts and psychology.
During her career, she worked as an accountant for the government of Mumbai.
On Feb. 2, 1964, in Mumbai, she married Joel S. Reuben, her husband of 53 years who survives her. They left India in 1995, and ultimately made their way to Longwood, where their daughter and her family live.
In addition to her husband, Lily is survived by her son, Abshalome (Paru) Reuben of Mumbai; and her daughter, Shamira (Roger) Fielding of Longwood. She was the proud grandmother of Sean, Michael, David, Matthew, Amit and Siddharth. Lily was one of four daughters and a son and is survived by two sisters, Sophie and Ruth. Her sister Diana and her brother Isaac predeceased her.
A funeral service was held at Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel with Rabbi Arnold Siegel officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel, 640 Lee Road, Orlando.
