Mah Nishtanah? What’s new at the Jewish Academy of Orlando? Preparations for Passover, that’s what’s new! And these preparations were in high gear prior to the Passover holiday, which began on April 10. The students learned the different parts of the seder and many of the important parts of the Haggadah. The students participated in various projects in preparation for the holiday and brought home items that they will be able to use at the seder table. Some examples were seder plates and bags for hiding the Afikoman. They also participated in a school-wide model seder, with real Matzah Ball soup and chicken!
At the Jewish Academy of Orlando, teachers and staff instill a sense of knowledge of our Jewish tradition and heritage in our students as well as a sense of Jewish pride. This knowledge and pride will help them this year at the Passover seder table, as well as for many years to come. The future of the Jewish people is right here at our school, and we are very proud of their work and their accomplishments!
