Obituary - MICHAEL BRENER

Michael Brener, age 89, of Oviedo, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Longwood Health and Rehab Center. Born in Samosz, Poland, on Sept. 1, 1927, to the late Abraham and Rebecca Levinsbaum Brener, he and his sister and parents made their way to the United States, arriving in 1950. Michael worked as a pattern maker and tailor for many years before purchasing a resort motel in the Poconos. On July 12, 1970, in Queens, N.Y., he married the former Annette Kahan, his wife of 47 years who survives him. Mike and Annette spent their winters in Port St. Lucie for many years before relocating to the Orlando area in 2007, to be closer to their daughters and family.

In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his daughters, Carol (Stan) Harris of Winter Springs and Francine (Mark) Lautourelle of Winter Park; and his grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Shoshana and Jillian.

A graveside funeral service was held at Temple Israel Cemetery, Gotha, with Rabbi Arnold Siegel of Jewish Family Services officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel. 640 Lee Road, Orlando 32810.
