Diana B. Sigal, Dina Ruth, age 74, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, Aug.17, 2017, at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro. Diana was born in the Panama Canal Zone, the daughter of Dale Burke and the late Alaidea Velasco, on July 15, 1943. She married her late husband, Charles B. Sigal, in 1970, in Tampa, shortly after his discharge from the U.S. Air Force. They lived on Long Island and in South Carolina among other places while Charlie worked; retiring to Statesboro, Georgia, as his health declined—a result of injuries he sustained during Viet Nam. They were married for 44 years when he passed away on Dec. 30, 2014. Diana remained in their home in Statesboro until she passed away.
Diana is survived by her father, Dale Burke (Joann) of Spartanburg S.C. A graveside funeral was held at Ohev Shalom Cemetery, with Rabbi Arnold Siegel, of Jewish Family Services officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel. 640 Lee Road, Orlando. 407-599-1180.
