Obituary-SHELLEY WEISSMAN

Shelley Weissman, age 86, of Apopka, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. Born in Randolph, New York, on Feb. 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Euphee Brooke Porter. Shelley was a high school graduate and worked as legal stenographer.

On Aug. 17, 1972, in New York, she married Herbert Weissman, her husband of more than 46 years who survives her. In December 1979, Shelley and Herb relocated to the Orlando area from New York. They were members of the Congregation of Reform Judaism prior to joining Congregation Beth Am. In addition to her husband, Shelley is survived by her children—Karen (Bertrand) Fougnies of New Jersey, Debra (Peter) Titlebaum of Ohio, David (Susan) Weissman of New Jersey and Stuart (Lisa) of New Jersey. She is also survived by her—grandchildren Jeffrey, Lauren, Steven, Alayna, Etienne, Lara, Emelie, Ryan and Daniel.

A graveside funeral was held at the Congregation of Reform Judaism cemetery in Gotha with Rabbi Arnold Siegel of Jewish Family Services officiating. In memory of Shelley Weissman, the family requests contributions to Jewish Family Services, 2100 Lee Road, Winter Park 32789.
