Obituary-MAX ARTHUR MOGUL

Max A. Mogul, age 86, of Maitland, passed away peacefully Friday night, Dec. 14, 2018. Max was born May 7, 1932, in Malden, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by Ruth Mogul, his wife of 66 years, and his son Alan Mogul. Max and Ruth had been an inseparable pair since they met in 1946. They moved to Florida in 1959 and lived in Maitland for 54 years.

Max was the founder of the Compass Real Estate Companies of Winter Park. He was involved in construction and development across Central Florida, including the Day Building at Lake Eola and The Camelot housing development in Casselberry. Max was deeply connected to both the local and Jewish communities of Central Florida. He loved to play tennis and was a regular at the Winter Park Tennis Center.

Max Mogul is survived by his daughters, Lynda and Janet; his son-in-law, Tracy; his grandchildren—Alexis, Miles and Jason; as well as his sisters, Elayne and Harriette; and his brother, Michael. A funeral service was held at Beth Shalom Memorial Chapel with Rabbi David Kay officiating. In memory of Max A.
