Congregation Beth Sholom Leesburg January schedule

Celebrate Tu B’Shevat and Shabbat with the synagogue that feels like family. Rabbi Karen Allen will begin our observance on Friday evening, Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. with a Tu B’Shevat Seder. This is a short seder celebrating the New Year of the Trees. The seder plate involves the fruits of the tree - nuts with shells and fruits with peels. Four shades of wine are also part of the ritual. The Shabbat service will follow at 7 p.m. Enjoy refreshments at the Oneg Shabbat following the service.

The Rabbi’s Torah Roundtable Discussion Group with Rabbi Karen Allen of Congregation Beth Sholom, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Sumter County Administration and Library Building at 7375 Powell Rd. (near Pinellas Plaza and 466A), Wildwood. The roundtable provides a unique opportunity to talk with the rabbi as she leads an informal and interactive Torah study discussion about the current Torah Portion and how it affects our daily lives.

Shabbat Morning Service led by Rabbi Karen Allen will be held Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. Socialize and enjoy refreshments at the Kiddush following the service.

The synagogue is located at 315 North 13th St. in Leesburg, with the entrance on Center Street.
